Qutb Minar or Qutub Minar is the second tallest minar (73 metres) in India after Fateh Burj. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This tower is made of red sandstone and marble. Construction was started in 1193 by Qutb-ud-din Aibak and was carried on by his successor, Shams-ud-din Iltutmish. In 1368, Firoz Shah Tughlaq constructed the fifth and the last storey. The remains of Paharpur Buddhist Monastery. The monastery was established by King Dharma Pal in the 7th century. Located in Paharpur village, 5 kilometers west of Jamalganj in the northern district of Rajshahi, this archaeological find covers about 27 acres of land. The main temple is in the center of the Monastery. The architecture of the pyramidal cruciform temple is strongly influenced by those of Southeast Asia, especially Myanmar and Java.
